I need better products

And I'm having a HORRIBLE time finding them.

I have fine(ish), fairly thick, 2c/3a hair that has been tortured to within an inch of its life. In the past five years I've straightened, blow-dried, curled, used henna, box dye, and worked outside in blazing sun and 100+ degree temperatures. I also used more silicones and sulfates than any curly girl should ever think about. I didn't even know my hair was curly: I thought it was just dry, puffy, and completely out of control.

CG has been GREAT for me, and my hair's healthier than it's ever been (yay!) But I really need some new products, and I was hoping all you wonderful people could help me find them :toothy4:

I really, really need some moisturizing products that I can use. DT, PT, leave-ins, and stylers all need to be ordered, so any suggestions you have would be great. I live in southwest NM where it is insanely dry (dew point is currently 3, which should tell you a lot) so humectants, glycerin, and alcohol are all really bad ideas. That's also why I can't just search the product reviews: they keep giving me things like KCKT, which I already know will wreck my hair in this super dry weather.

My hair loves: AOHSR, anything extra moisturizing, and anything with protein. Homemade coconut oil DTs and avocado/egg PTs have also turned out great.

My hair hates: KCKT, anything Deva ever produced, and every gel I've ever tried. ACV rinses haven't been a big success, either.

*Phew* Do you think I've talked enough? :) Any and all suggestions would be fantastic! I'd especially love to hear about any moisturizing creams or butters I could use every day . . . my hair needs the protection.

I replied in your other thread. Since you hair is fine and damaged (possibly porous), I'd suggest protein, protein and more protein. You'll need to counteract it with lots of moisture. CJ Repair Me and Curl Rehab and/or SS Protein Repair and Deeply Decadent may be great for you.

My fine/low porosity hair loves protein. I do at least on PT a week (one in winter, sometimes two in the higher dewpoints) and use a lot of products with protein. My hair prefers the more natural products from the online, boutique type companies. I avoid a lot of chemicals, my hair just doesn't like them.
