I Chopped...After 14 mths of Transitioning

DeeinKCDeeinKC Posts: 43Registered Users
I FINALLY did my transition chop yesterday after 14 months of transitioning. I have no clue what my texture is. The only thing I know is that it's different all over. Any ideas on what my texture is so that I know where to turn to for styling tips?

I am still in shock that my transition is over. I don't think I could have made it much longer without cutting. I just wanted those stringy ends OFF of my head. I can pull it up into a puff. Just wanted to add that point since I know many ladies wonder if they can pull their up at certain points in their transition.

For those of you still on the transition journey...hang in there!

I still have some "cleaning up to do" on some of my ends!

Wow that's nice! This is inspiration for me because I have been considering doing my bc for a little while now (16 months in). It looks really good!

Congratulations!!:happy10::happy10: I am not too sure about any of your textures unfortunately. But enjoy the beginning of your new journey! I only hope I can make it to 14 months, even though my goal is 17. I am only 8 months in and cannot wait to big chop.

Thanks so much everyone for the kind words! I was really nervous before I chopped, but I'm glad it's over and I did it.

I am on day 2 of my new natural journey and it's going to take some getting used to! Today I did a puff after defining my curls with Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie. I'm not comfortable wearing it all loose quite yet. Here's what it's looking like in a puff. I can't wait for it to gain some length! I guess now I'm on a growth/natural journey!

Congrats! I'm 20 months going on 21 and going to get rid of my thready ends in 2 days! Washed my hair today and it seems I have one perfect curl there because the relaxed end just broke off in time.

Thank you for the compliment!! Good luck with your BC! I was nervous and excited too, but it was fine. Post pics after you cut yours so we can see your curls.
