Not such a bad cut afterall :)

I haven't had a bad cut in years! I've been going to the same person for 6 years. For some reason this last time I went in she cut it A LOT shorter than I anticipated. She always blows it straight which I don't love but go with it anyways. I washed it Friday and did my normal routine. My curls just were not there. On Saturday I washed with shampoo and my curls came more alive. Back to using NoPoo today and I have some more curls but I'm still struggling with the style. My curls are still lacking!

I have one co-worker that always states the obvious. For example if I'm wearing glasses instead of contacts she will say "You're wearing glasses". Well, this morning I walked by her office and said good morning and she made me stop and walk back to her office. Her comment, "Your hair is short". Yeah, I KNOW!

I'm thinking about wearing headbands for a while. Any suggestions?

I may have started whining too soon. The comment from my coworker didn't help. I've been "playing" with it some more and I think I like it! I just need to figure out the style.

is it possible that she used different shampoo/conditioner? there are some brands that just take the life out of my hair and it takes me several low poos to get my hair back to natural.

I hear you there. I haven't cut my hair in about a year, ever since I went to the salon for a "trim" that turned into hair slightly below my ears! Deep treatments might help bring the curl back at least a little, and maybe you can use products especially made for hair growth, like scalp stimulating elixirs.

I can tell you, though, that headbands saved my hair! Even with longer hair, I wear them every day. Without it, my hair looks flat and straighter. I recommend soft, flexible ones that aren't tight on your head or hair. Tight ones can lead to breakage and squeeze your head too much, but the right fit is great.

The good thing about a bad cut is it gives you an excuse to wear cute head bands of different colors, maybe some with bows, etc. Also, you can pin things up, too. Sometimes I use bobby pins, but other times I find clips with bows :)

    Good luck!

Thanks! It seems like the curls come back a little more everyday! I actually love it today! I may have been worried for nothing. I've just never had my curls go into shock like that before! It was a little scary ;)
