Hi there, so I'm brand new to this and all things CG. I just found this site this week. So, I'm a 2b. I have been straightening my hair since middle school, and always dying it, and up until the last 8 months have I had a major issue. My hair was previously shoulder length, and I heavily bleached the top layers of my hair. and began to straighten it daily, although I hardly used a blow dryer (always let it air dry). Then in anticipation of possibly joining the navy I chopped it all off in a short cut, and now I am trying to grow it back out and I want to toss the flat iron and get my curls back, it barely gets 2b/wavyish now when wet just with curl cream. I want to trim the fried ends off after it gets a little longer. I just want to have healthy and curly hair again. Any tips, product suggestions for growth & curls are greatly appreciated since I am very very new. Btw, since having my hair bleached I have about an 1" - 1 1/2" of roots.
Sorry it's so long. The first pic is the day I got it cut, and the second most recently.

Hi! Sorry that I don't have any recommendations, but I just want to ask if you know your hair's properties (density, porosity, etc.)? That will help with finding products that work for your hair. Also, if you post this in the 2's forum, you may get more responses!

I think your pixie cut is super cute!!! But I know how frustrating it is to to grow your hair out (I think I've done it about 9 million times now lol). I notice since I started wearing my hair wavy that my waves don't do as well when it's shorter. I think that's because my waves don't start a few inches down from my scalp and when it's short, the waves have a very difficult time forming. I've been growing my hair out this past year and a half from a bob and now that it's shoulder length again, they're popping up again.

You'll probably want to start babying your hair with either protein treatment and/or deep moisturizing treatments, massaging your scalp regularly with an oil, and staying away from heat styling as much as possible. And even though it's tempting to stay away from the salon, you'll want to visit your stylist regularly to get rid of the dead ends and have it re-shaped to adjust to the new inches that you'll be growing. Good luck!!!! :headbang:
    2a, fine-med. text, normal porosity (I think)
