How mantain curl in my hair when I straighten it.....

I cannot walk around with wet hair in the winter so I heat straighten it. The problem is my hair falls straight with no curl even when I use a curling iron. I still want my curls just not wet hair. Ideas???

My hair:
2b wavy, medium texture, low porosity, med-high density. Protein finicky.
My routine:
Cleansing: DCNP, every 4-5 days (occasionally use CJ cleansers).
RO: CJSC, occasionally use JCDC
LI: KCKT or CJSL
Gel: KCCC, CJCIAB for 2nd day hair (sometimes third)
Heat is my friend: warm water rinses, steam caps, and diffuse dry. I love CLU cloths and my Denman.
even when let them be straight .

1)rollerset-a traditional rollerset with a bit of setting
lotion is pretty much a guarunteed way of getting the bouncy curly look that does not drop
2)pincurl/satin rollers over night-the heat from your heat will help to lock in the curl while it sets over night.these curls might drop during the day however so you will need to do this nightly
3)wet hair and put on rollers- after the hair is straightened slightly dampen the hair with water or a bit of setting lotion and roll onto a magnetic or satin roller. Avoid the root area. Let air dry overnight. If rolled correctly you will yield a smooth frizz free curly look that has a good lasting power.
