Hi. You'd need to buy the book wether ebook or print copy. It's called "Curly Girl" by Lorraine Massey and another person. Amazon has the new revised version...

You could get the book or you could do like most people and take notes from the basics Here's a link All About the No Shampoo Method

I didn't get the book, I just browsed the net and collected my info from here and I'm sooooooo glad I did. It really has helped me in taking care of my natural hair. I don't have issues with dryness anymore and my curls that I didn't even know I had before all of this, definitely are popping :).

This is also a good site: /home/leaving?target=http%3A%2F%2Fdormroomcurly.blogspot.com%2F2008%2F12%2Fstyle-definitions-table.html%3Fm%3D1" class="Popup

I did buy the CG handbook, it wasn't very expensive and it has a DVD (I got the ebook version and videos were included if your device supports video). It's nice to have the info contained in one source but it is also available in the Internet for free.

ETA: the basic curly girl method information is available at various sites on the internet...not the CG handbook itself...for free.
remember, with all advice or suggestions for your hair, YMMV!! :read2:
    My hair:
2b wavy, medium texture, low porosity, med-high density. Protein finicky.
    My routine:
Cleansing: DCNP, every 4-5 days (occasionally use CJ cleansers).
    RO: CJSC, occasionally use JCDC
    LI: KCKT or CJSL
Gel: KCCC, CJCIAB for 2nd day hair (sometimes third)

Heat is my friend: warm water rinses, steam caps, and diffuse dry. I love CLU cloths and my Denman.
