One Condition

I ordered some deva products...got no-poo...angel... Set it free... Mister right... And a little sample of one condition. I've heard mixed reviews on one condition. I have a lot if hair so the size I got made do 1 or 2 applications. Do I think it's worth it to get a full size? Any experience with that conditioner...either as a rinse our or leave in?

Back on Cones,so now my routine is,wash with Deva No-Poo every other day or so. Occasionally use 365 sulfate free, maybe use low sulfate shampoo mixed with conditioner once every two weeks are longer. I condition with Aussie Moist or HEHH. I style with a little GF TN,and finish up with tons of GN Pure Clean Smoothing Cream. No frizz...slippy, happy hair.

I prefer the DevaCARE One C to the DevaCURL One C. The DevaCurl One C seemed to leave my hair feeling kind of gunky, where DevaCare One C seemed to rinse out better.

Really? Ok...I know I like the DevaCurl no poo better...not to mention the smell is wonderful. I hope I like angle it's a good size bottle and I don't need to use much gel in winter.

Deva didn't work for me. I find it very drying to my hair and skin.

Anyway, I still use the no-poo because I use so little my hair can tolerate it - funny someone mentioned liking the smell because I hate it, lol.

All my stuff is on the swap board. ;)

OneC is very moisturizing but I am one who could not stand the smell. It's sickening and it lingers.

The One C does not smell like the no-poo (unfortunately). It performed fine for me, but the smell was nauseating (as another poster said). Very strong lemon-pledge scent - yuk.

I like the smell of the One Condition. Idk if it lingers, I don't remember and since I like it I wouldn't notice as much. But, I can say the no-poo smell does and it's ridiculous because I use such a teensy tiny bit only on my scalp *and* I use pretty smelling stuff over it. But its all I can smell for at least a day after. I'm guessing its the same for one-c.

I find it interesting that we all vary on whether we like the no-poo or one-c as far as smell yet no matter which one we like...we hate the other. I don't see anyone who likes both. lol

So true - everyone has a different preference.

Goddesscurls - I say try it for yourself and see what you think. I didn't have any issues with the way it worked, just didn't like the smell (I like sweeter scents, like coconut or vanilla, and tend to dislike citris or flowery scents). But you may love it. The scent does linger some (not overpowering once dry - just in the shower that I couldn't stand it). It is a good product though, decent moisture and slip, and worth giving it a try.

I actually love both. When I first went CG I read so many bad reviews on Deva products that I literally spent all this money buying what everyone recommended and I could not find anything. I finally decided to try out Deva curls and I am hooked. I love the deva curl one condition, it is so moisturizing and I use it as my leave in. My curl pattern started to change to a curlier tighter pattern after using this as my leave in conditioner. So my advice is you truly don't know unless you try it for yourself. Good luck

i agree the best way is to try the product for yourself to see how your hair (and nose) reacts

the scent thing is funny...i LOVE one condition to the point i open the bottle just to sniff it but i can't stand the smell of no poo! LOL

Diane Mary I just subscribed to your YouTube channel. Great from the couple of videos I have see. I think I have similar hair to you. My hair loves one cond too. How long does your hair take to dry? I tried your method today and my hair looks good now but that is six hours later and still a little wet

Aaww thank u for subbing!!!! My hair takes at least 4 to 5 hours to air dry. It's annoying lol

Same for me. Just used One today and it smells like a rotting funeral bouquet that fell into a puddle of mystery industrial cleaner. "Mirror Curls" is as bad or worse.

Both are okay in terms of performance. Nothing spectacular.

Edited because I screwed up. It's "Heaven in Hair" that I used, not One! (Oops)

I may head to Walgreens this weekend they have some As I Am conditioner...I don't have their regular conditioner only deep conditioner and cowash...and gels and stuff. They all smell wonderful. Or there is a beauty supply near my grocery store...may head there for some moisturizing conditioner and maybe a leave in. Also maybe a protien treatment. Any suggestions for what to look for in a beauty supply store?

Wow, I guess I'm the only one who doesn't mind the smell of either No-Poo or One Conditioner. I don't love them--I wouldn't buy them for the smell alone--but they're not bad and they dissipate quickly. But now I'm starting to think my nose isn't as sensitive as everyone else's!

Calendula I don't mind the smell of either as well. I love essential oils so I am kind of fond of the smell. To each nose it's own lol
