Caught plopping!

This was just one of those things I needed to share with the only collection of people I thought would understand . . .

So I had just finished tying my microfiber towel back when my phone rings. UPS! Figures. So I hurry up and throw clothes on, resist the urge to take the towel off (silly vanity), and answer the door for my package (from Lush! :D ) . . . the UPS guy gave me the weirdest look.

Hahah! I used to worry about looking silly while plopping at my house too, but I've got both of my sisters doing it too! So now it's the norm for all three of us running around the house with t-shirts wrapped on our heads. Oh, the things we do for our curly hair.

Everyone sees me with crispy halfwet hair that delivers here. Oh and with clips in my hair. I run out to the mailbox to get my goodies barefoot in shorts and a sweater, after seeing tht I don't think they care about my hair (now if it snows I'll put on long pants and shoes finally)

    Mmmm. Lush. Definitely worth it.

And yeah - two days in a row, the mailman knocked on my door with packages (I online shop too much  ) and saw me with clips in my hair. I figure eventually I'll get used to it.

I remember the first time someone outside of the family saw me plopping. My friend Kelly was like...WHY do you have a t-shirt on your head???

When my family first saw me doing it this past December they were very confused . . .

LOL when I had clips in my hair my husband called me Medusa. I told him my hair isn't as nice as Medusahair. He had no idea what or rather who I was talking about.

What's up with the ups man? Don't men already know the crazy lengths we will go for beauty? and imo a t-shirt on the head isn't that shocking. That dude needs to get a life.
I am a 3c reformed product junkie thanks to the economy.

I lurk a lot, I change my hair color a lot. It's currently black and bsl when wet and beyond my shoulders still when dry.

Now I will stop procrastinating and get back to what I was supposed to be doing before I got on here.

    Any questions?

Ah, and in my Lush order:
Sexy Four (a pot of Gorgeous - which will help me postpone the inevitable purchase of the full pot, now that I've fallen in love with it - and a pot of Smitten for the purse)
Sympathy for the Skin (because as far as I'm concerned, I can never have enough of it around)
Fair Trade Foot Lotion (been wanting to try it)
big bottle of Happy Hippy (for a friend)
and then the free Ooh La La soap and French Kiss BB

    :P

Ahhh Gorgeous, my favorite Lush facial moisturizer. I absolutely adore that stuff, just wish it wasn't so dang expensive! I went through 3 jars before I started trying to wean myself off of it. And SFTS, there really isn't anything better is there? Like slathering yourself in yummy custard. 8) I'm not a fan of Lush lavender scented items, so the Oh la la and French Kiss weren't up my alley. Two of a very few Lush things I don't like. Have fun with your stash!! :D

Definitely nothing better than SFTS. Add some BPAL Bliss to the mix . . . delish. :D

I've never tried either of the French Kiss or Oh la la, so I figured free was the way to go to see how I felt about them.

Ahhh, well even I wouldn't turn them down if they were free! 8) Have you tried any of the B Never stuff yet? I love the makeup but had to get rid of most of my perfumes because they were too perfumey for me. That sounded silly didn't it? If only I could get rid of my Fever perfume. Ick.

I haven't been able to get my hands on any yet. I think I have some B scent shower gel coming from a purchase off the forums. (That's sad - when you think you bought something - pretty good sign you're doing too much shopping! ) I thought about placing a UK order, but the shipping from the UK for a handful of products just isn't worth it . . . :?

I tried plopping for the first time today. It didn't go so well. My husband kept on smirking at me with this "you look so stupid" gleam in his eye. At least he only laughed twice before he finally had to leave. LOL! I'm sure it had something to do with the weird knots I put in the shirt to keep it on my head. I'll have to try again later...

    You aren't alone!
