Sleeping tips

right so today i got a satin pillowcase. i am at my wits end with second day hair, i cannot get it at all, but i am not at all willing to co wash every morning. i have tried pineappling with a cap, however that just makes my hair look worse than ever. i don't really know about washing it overnight, if anyone else does, how do you go about it? i'm thinking about just leaving it down overnight now i have a satin pillowcase, but hmm, i don't know! anyone's opinions would literally be valued so much, please take your time to comment how you prepare your hair for sleep! bare in mind, i'm quite a restless sleeper.

p.s i have 2c/3a i think, not entirely sure though!

Have you considered doing a braid or messy bun or some other quick and easy style on your 2nd day hair? I know my curls sometimes don't survive overnight, but I don't want to wash my hair yet. If I'm refreshing 2nd day curls, I will sometimes smooth a light LI over my hair to tame frizz. You could even reform a couple curls around your face and on top using some watered down conditioner and finger twirling those pieces. This is more time consuming though (which is why I usually end up opting for a braid or bun instead). I know you said the pineapple didn't work for you - have you tried a sleep bonnet? I don't have a sleep bonnet, but last night a did a very loose pineapple and then covered my hair with a shower cap - that worked okay.

My favorite brands are Kinky Curly, As I am, Curly Kinks, Curl Junkie, and Darcy's Botanicals. Also love sealing with oils (loving argan oil right now) and styling with jelly products (KCCC is my current favorite). Mostly trying to keep it simple!

I spritz and braid. I dont like how my hair looks after pineappling.
Yes, it's real. No, you can't touch it. :wav:

This is what I do when my second or third day hair looks like crap in the morning. put it up in a bun, spritz my bun with water from a spray bottle and let it dry for a few minutes then take it down. Usually, nine times out of ten, that works. I might have to respritz a section, or put a barrette in, but that it's.
