I try to pay attention to ingredients but I also know that when I was relaxed I used blue magic, pink lotion, sulfates, etc. Back then, my hair could touch my butt if I looked up though.

Mineral Oil, Petrolatum and Sulfates...Oh My?? - YouTube

ETA I use a LI based on mineral oil, along with low-sulph poos, and my hair is looking great these days :)
Finer, mixed with coarser strands, low-porosity, wavy curly whirly hair...3A, 2C hair. Medium thickness, medium elasticity.
S-shaped hair with corkscrew ends. My hair is even more confused than me ;p
My hair officially hates protein ;) Once a month is enough!
Currently a fan of TiGi products, (rock on, TiGi Curlesque styling creme!) but that will soon change - I am a self-avowed product junkie! Yay! :D
BIG fan of supersoaker method - thanks Rudeechick!

Interesting discussion. Of course all natural products are better suited for the hair's overall health but if using mineral oil, petroleum, sulfates, and cones work for you then be my guest. My shampoos and conditioners mostly have sulfates and cones, and they work well for my hair. I am opting to try more natural products though.
