Anyone Here Paleo/Primal, Grain-free, or Gluten Free?

Grain-free checking in, and ever since I started eating this way I've had more energy and have been consistently losing weight. It's definitely been working for me. Anyone else here following something similar? Please dish on how it's been benefiting you on your health journey!

Back on Cones,so now my routine is,wash with Deva No-Poo every other day or so. Occasionally use 365 sulfate free, maybe use low sulfate shampoo mixed with conditioner once every two weeks are longer. I condition with Aussie Moist or HEHH. I style with a little GF TN,and finish up with tons of GN Pure Clean Smoothing Cream. No frizz...slippy, happy hair.

Basically this. I have noticed less bloating but no real weight loss.
There's some good cookbooks out there for paleo. We have Paleo Comfort Foods, and my dad seems to approve when I've made stuff from it for him.
The biggest challenge with paleo is variety. It's real easy to fall into a pattern of eating the same things over and over because they're easier to make, or cheaper. I guess that's true with anything though.
Mane 'n Tail co-wash + leave-in
Clarifying shampoo every few weeks
Lavender Allergy
I feel much better, lighter, more energetic, more alert with this way of eating.

what do you eat??
what's left?
Not trying to be mean or sarcastic I'm serious, but my mind goes blank when I try to eat like that, I can't figure out what kind of meals to make.

But how do you make it a meal? Like a steak with a handful of nuts? It's so random to me. But then again idk
Give me a sample meal lolol
Meat, veggies (either steamed, sauteed or a fresh salad with fruits and nuts and cheese).
Sometimes I'll have rice or pasta or bread. I LOVE BREAD!!!!!! If I was magic, I would turn bread into a protein.
Tonite I'm making salmon patties with roasted veggies (sweet potatoes, brussels sprouts, carrots, broccoli, and walnuts).
Cabbage rolls, chili, soups, stews, baked fish with a parmesan nut crust, buffalo chicken, rosemary chicken, shepherds pie (mashed cauli instead of mashed potatoes), tuna salad, chicken salad. I could go on and on.

yes your meals sounds hard.
but what is cabbage noodles
how does one roast veggies?
how does one bake fish with a Parmesan nut crust ?
:tongue3::scratch:
I just meant that cooking primal/low carb/low sugar food is no harder than cooking any other food.
Cabbage noodles are just cabbage sliced into strips and boiled in water til tender. They are used in place of regular pasta.
roasted veggies - any veggie you choose (fresh or frozen) tossed with a little olive oil and any herbs or seasonings you like. Then put them in a single layer on a cookie sheet and bake until done (stir every 20 min or so). Some veggies take a half hour, some an hour. Roasting really brings out the flavor of veggies.
I love to cook and you all can come over my house any time. : )

The worst foods to eat are those that come in packages with a seasoning packet included and such.
Foods that are processed, instant, pre packaged, easy to cook, etc, are loaded with preservatives. Preservatives works against your body. They actually slow down your metabolism. Sadly children that grow up eating crap like that are at a disadvantage from the start. Their metabolism is being stunted in childhood making them doomed to be overweight as adults.
The key is to shop mostly on the outer edges of the grocery store. Limit yourself when it comes to the stuff in the middle. Don't even go in the frozen section unless you're only buying veggies! Or veggie burgers
Roasting vegetables:
Cut up some carrots, green beans, peppers, squash, maybe a few tomatoes, whatever veggies you like - put them all in a roasting pan, shake some Mrs Dash on it (they have a bunch of flavors and they're salt free) drizzle with olive oil, stir to coat it all, put in the oven at 400 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes.
You want chicken? Put some in a pan on medium heat with some Italian dressing. Cook about 10 - 15 minutes (til you see the bottom edges turning white) and flip it. Once its cooked halfway throw some dried cranberries and walnuts on top to cook the rest of the way. Very easy. Make some rice and green beans. Boom. Dinner.
Cooking doesn't have to be complicated. Get a crock pot and look up some crock pot recipes. Makes cooking even easier!
Processed food is not good stuff. Bagel bites will kill you, man.

I do have a crock pot I've just been to lazy to use it.
aaaah
the circles I go into.
can you put frozen chicken in a crock pot? ( I feel like thats a duh...)
Frozen, no.
But take it out and leave it in the sink the night before. If its a small chicken it will be thawed in the morning. If its just you, try a little Cornish game hen.
Put it in the crock pot with a can of chicken broth. Some cut up carrots, green beans, corn, and 1/4 cup of rice. Leave it on low.
When you come home, take the chicken out and lay it on a cutting board to separate it from the bones. I end up having to use a combination of a ladle and tongs to get it out!
Sometimes it turns into a casserole in there, but whatever!
Once you get started you'll feel more comfortable with it, and cooking isn't so scary. You don't have to be a gourmet, just cook to eat! And if you don't over do the butter and cream its much healthier!

Oh I don't do soy. I have made almond and coconut flour pancakes. The ones with almond flour are the best and they are super filling!!!
They are not hard. Just different if you are not used to cooking with non-flour flour
My brekkie: yogourt, granola and dates, or eggs and bacon (yay, weekends!)
lunch: some boiled eggs, a bit of ham, a handful of nuts. Snack, some gluten-free crackers. Or, veg and some meat, like a bit of left-over chicken breast.
Dinner: steak and veg, either fresh raw veg with home-made dip, or else chicken curry with rice, or meat, veg and potato, or...lol! Possibilities are endless
Just buy real foodstuffs, and don't buy any processed foods. Easy!
S-shaped hair with corkscrew ends. My hair is even more confused than me ;p
My hair officially hates protein
Currently a fan of TiGi products, (rock on, TiGi Curlesque styling creme!) but that will soon change - I am a self-avowed product junkie! Yay!
BIG fan of supersoaker method - thanks Rudeechick!

Same here.
Not unless it happens to be low/lower carb. A gluten free high carb diet will keep the weight on if you're a carb gainer.
Med/Coarse, porous curly.
That's what I meant, but I'm at work and can't type novels
But a lot of people go gluten free to lose weight not BC of health reasons and they end up gaining weight. Because they're eating higher carb content
