I had heard that personal lubricant is great for your hair- almost the same ingredients as Curly Hair Solutions curl keeper.

So the other day, I grabbed the lube I had in the house and used it to smooth over the top of my hair when I was done styling.

The next day? My hair looked PERFECT. Corkscrews, shiny, bouncy...

Maybe it's a fluke? Next day- same thing. Wow. I'm just afraid of looking like a sex addict in the stores, buying bottles of lubricant constantly!!

Anyone else ever been adventurous like me? What were your results?

What kind of lube? I have ky 2 in 1 warming jelly. Idk if that'd work lol but I'd like to try.

I don't think the warming jelly would work- the ingredients are a lot different.

Just regular Personal lubricant jelly or the liquid personal lubricant would work. Here's a youtube video comparing the CHS Curl Keeper and lube.

Day three- still love the curls, even during a soaking rainy day. :)

Lube seriously works great. At least for me.

I've made myself a little tonic using lube (plain old walmart brand reg. lubricant jelly), water (nice to use water with a lil bit of epsom salt dissolved in it for extra curling power) and a little bit of leave in. Shake it up in a bottle and rake through hair.

I make it so it has the syrup-y slip consistency of curl keeper, i apply it under a little watered down gel, blot away some of the excess moisture and diffuse or air dry and my hair looks amazing with shiny bouncy ringlets. I love it.

Digital- I'm totally doing this!! I use a spray of water w/ epsom salts, but why not make the spray thicker w/ lube and conditioner? Great idea. :)

Oh great. Now I have to try this and knowing my luck, it's going to be the PERFECT thing for my hair.

And since I have lots and lots of very thick hair I always use lots of product...so you know what that means. :(

I can see the kid at the CVS up the street now.. "OMG this lady is a PERV!!!"

He'll probably high-five my husband when he goes in there though, I guess that's a bright side.

Yea, I'm already in a lot of trouble. I LOVE this stuff.

I started w/ the Jelly type lubricant and switched to the "liquid" style. It has more glycerin and seems to work better.

This is the very last thing I put in my hair- I do my leave in mixed w/ honey, scrunch in gel, then "seal" with a coating of the lube/conditioner/epsom salt/water mix. I even added a few drops of lavender essential oil.

Would you put it on right after you get out of the shower or after you do cream or gel? I think of gel as "locking" everything in.

I put it on last- just to kind of "seal" everything in. :)
