Going to a dance

CurlyUniqueCurlyUnique Posts: 94Registered Users
So I am going to formal dance (not a school dance) and I have no idea how to style my shoulder length hair for the dance. I've debating on a up-do but I've never done one before and I don't think my hair is long enough.

So if anyone has any ideas I'd be very thankful, also any makeup ideas are welcomed, i have no idea what kind of makeup to do. I'm wearing a floor length blue metallic dress with black mesh over top, with black heels.

an updo I like is where i twist the front sections of my hair back (usually about 2-3 sections) and clip them (high or lower, kinda between the top, and back of your head) with jaw clips. then you pretty randomly clip up the rest of your hair into a sort of big curly bun. I do this when my hair is wet.

A plus is, it gets quite a few compliments, people are always saying 'it looks so elaborate.' but it is super easy.
My hair is shorter then shoulder length, and i have layers, so i'm sure it would work for you.
if you want a photo, ask, cause i have my hair up in the style right now, lol.

oh, and you can easily dress it up or down, clips headbands etc. HTH
I Love my curls, and yours! :love2:

    2c-3a curls
love Totally Twisted line, & Aussie Leave in Hair Insurance. Don't forget aloe vera gel!

Cowash W/Vo5 conditioners, and Thermasilk by Heline curtis.
    Love honey!!!

Sometimes when I lie awake at night I ask.
"Where have I gone wrong?" Then a voice says.
"This is going to take all night."

That sounds really pretty and easy, I'd love to see a picture of it, thanks for the idea.
