Is being a PJ a bad thing???

Alyssa_TAlyssa_T Posts: 4Registered Users
PJ's or product junkies are known for their ability to stock up on various hair products they have either tried or not tried. Some people say this is a bad thing and they need to choose staple products but I disagree. I love being a PJ and don't see my self changing. Whats your opinion???

I am a pj too, but being a college student and all I need to stop. I am mostly a pj when it comes to makeup mostly, I have wayyyy to much. And now im moving own to hair products, but I am learning not to spend on what I want, but what I need.

Now that I know what my hair properties are I feel like I won't be wasting money on products that have ingredients that I know my hair won't like. In a way being a PJ helped me learn more about my hair, but at the same time I feel like a wasted a lot of $$$ in the process. I have tons of products that I don't want to use any more but I cant bring myself to throw them away.I feel like its a win/lose situation :-/

I don't think it is a bad thing! But, because I am going to be entering college soon, this PJism has got to stop! It's just hard because I haven't found products that really, consistently work with my hair. Jeliah, have you considered swapping, selling, or giving away the products that you don't want anymore? ;) (hint, hint)

I understand I have purchased many products only to find out that they do little to nothing for my hair. But trading and giveaways are the best way to get rid of them without them seeming like a total waste. Hope this kind of helps.

If I wasn't obsessed about my hair, then I would be some other kinda product junkie ;p I think I just like to experiment with new stuff :) it's mind-expanding, if not always hair-beneficial. But if it weren't for my PJ streak, I would still be destroying my hair with protein products ;p being a PJ ultimately saved my hair's life! :D
Finer, mixed with coarser strands, low-porosity, wavy curly whirly hair...3A, 2C hair. Medium thickness, medium elasticity.
S-shaped hair with corkscrew ends. My hair is even more confused than me ;p
My hair officially hates protein ;) Once a month is enough!
Currently a fan of TiGi products, (rock on, TiGi Curlesque styling creme!) but that will soon change - I am a self-avowed product junkie! Yay! :D
BIG fan of supersoaker method - thanks Rudeechick!

Personally I tend to be a PJ bc I still buy products bc Idk what works best with my hair. I think all hair needs to babe a changeup of product once in a while.
