Glycerin and dew points?

I know that glycerin should be avoided at low, and often high dew points, and that around 50 is an ideal few point for glycerin. That being said, what exactly constitutes a low dew point, and a high one? In general (I know it differs slightly for everyone) beyond which few point should glycerin not be used? And does this apply to glycerin in a shampoo/conditioner? Or only styling products?

It does vary, like you said. I can't seem to use it at all unless it's way down in the ingredients list. I don't know for sure, but I would *guess* it would be ok (as far as dew points) in anything you will rinse out. Hopefully someone will have a better educated guess than me. :)

But here is a pretty good article on it:
When to use Glycerin Products Based on Dew Points: Technically Speaking | cushblog.com
remember, with all advice or suggestions for your hair, YMMV!! :read2:
    My hair:
2b wavy, medium texture, low porosity, med-high density. Protein finicky.
    My routine:
Cleansing: DCNP, every 4-5 days (occasionally use CJ cleansers).
    RO: CJSC, occasionally use JCDC
    LI: KCKT or CJSL
Gel: KCCC, CJCIAB for 2nd day hair (sometimes third)

Heat is my friend: warm water rinses, steam caps, and diffuse dry. I love CLU cloths and my Denman.

I read that lower than 30 is low, 30-40 is borderline for using humectants (some people might find them ok, others not, trial and error), and over 40 is ok to use humectants. At what point it is getting so high that you reduce humectants again I can't remember - 60 maybe?
    UK based wavy :hello2:

Mostly waves, but curls and straight bits too!
Fine to medium, high porosity, medium density, very low elasticity
Highlights damage (growing it out), seems to like protein and need lots of moisture.

Cleanse - CJDF, trying out low poos ; Co wash- Uk chemist brands, Urtekram Rose or Aloe, Hairveda Amala Cream Rinse; RO - varies, Tigi Moisture Maniac, Desert Essence Coconut ; Leave in - Keracare natural textures; Sealant - argan oil
Trying out new things, still looking.

You could try googling local weather for your area - detailed sites may include dew point, or check
