i have similar hair- length and amount of curliness. somehow she gets her hair to stay going over on top but it's not parted and doesn't go straight down? idk how to explain it. if i try it it falls in my face. what products would help me keep my hair like this? :dontknow:

You probably already tried this but maybe tuck the hair on the left side(your left so right in the picture) behind your ear. Or barring that maybe a hair clip?

Mine does something similar in the front. I just clip it when it is drying. For me, that is one of the best things about curly hair - it really maintains its style and shape once it is dried.

she may just have hair that weighs less and/or a hair growth pattern that naturally goes away from the face. I have longish hair and I usually part it assymetrically like hers but to make sure it doesn't fall over one eye I pin it with criss-crossed bobby pins the same color as my hair in an inconspicuous way so that the pins are usually hidden in the hair. It's hard to explain, I just experimented with pinning until it looked right.

Yeah, her hair does look light weight to me too. Raking or combing it back while wet styling it is one possibility. Plus what others said: possibly a bobby pin or clip as it dries. There could even be a bit of mousse or hair spray involved.

The only way I can achieve that kind of root lift is to cut it short in front and wet style it away from my face and it still flops into my eyes shortly after which annoys the crap out of me.

Why not experiment to see what works for you?
