I've had good experiences with Giovanni's Deep Conditioner. I got it at Wal-Mart.

I like the Lustrasilk Shea/Mango Conditioner (not sure if this is the name verbatim) & the Proclaim Argan Oil Deep Treatment Masque that Iam able to get at Sallys. Both work well & remain in my rotation. However, I will caution that the Proclaim does have cones (I think) but I havent had any issues.

I love Giovanni's Smooth as Silk conditioner. I purchased this at my local Whole Foods, but check Walmart and Target as well. I used to buy it at Rite- Aid, but they no longer carry it.

I add peppermint oil for the tingling sensation, and sit under a hooded dryer with a plastic cap for about 30 minutes. My hair loves it.

i tried this for the first time last night and ive been raving all over the place about it. lol.

    for me it:

    detangled like a dream
    hydrated my hair
    left my hair feeling soft
    cleansed & detoxed my hair

i seriously felt like i had done a wash, dc and detangling session all in one step...which really rocks it for me. im really hoping results are consistent because i'm in love.

I have very thick hair so buying super expensive deep conditioners won't work for me. I have to stretch them out. So my fav DC is SM Shea Butter Masque. I take 2-3 heaping tbs. and add some Tresemme Naturals condish along with honey, grapeseed oil, jojoba oil, & coconut oil. My curls have thrived from doing this.

I use before shampooing, section off hair, apply to scalp and hair, let it sit for 30 min, shampoo and condition as usual. I can feel the difference. I can actually finger detangle my hair while applying.

    Ingredients
Deionized Water , Cocos Nucifera Oil (Coconut) , Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) , Mangfera Indica Seed Butter (Mango) , Persea Gratissima Oil (Avocado) , African Black Soap Extract , Sea Salt , Cetyl Esters , Kaolin Clay , Grapeseed Oil , Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil (Jojoba) , Behentrimonium Chloride (Conditioner) , Salicylic Acid , Salix Alba (Willow Bark) Extract , Melia Azadirachta Seed Oil (Neem) , Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Oil , Sorbitol Esters , Aloe Vera Leaf Juice , Tocopherol (Vitamin E) , Rosemary Extract , Salvia Officinalis Extract (Sage) , Plantain Extract

I like Terax Crema and BIolage Conditioning Balm. You can get it at Ulta, salons, and Trade Secret (if Trade Secret still exists, haven't been there in forever).

If I had to only use one deep conditioner on ground , it would be this one. It does have coconut oil in it but it doesnt bother me at all. I love it. I use it as a prepoo before washing though. Its all that and then some, just yummy.

I slept on it for a lonnnnnnnnnnnng time because it said purification.

Sounds like most of you guys use it before shampooing. Does the clay loosen the curl pattern? I've heard that it was possible..and i do not want that.

Okay okay okay, you guys! I'm going to buy it...NOW. So, just to be clear, the best use for this treatment is as a pre poo? Like before you shampoo with any sort of shampoo or before you shampoo with a clarifying sulfate shampoo? I'm so confused, sorry lol. I'm just trying to figure out where to fit this into my routine.
I just do conditioner only styling and just add SM black soap spray or whatever it is for a dry scalp. In the bottle with the black label, from the same line as this mask to my scalp, and i baggy three times a week with gvp or tresemme naturals with honey and jojoba oil added. One of those times I'll do shea moisture enhancing smoothie with a little honey added for a little shot of protein. And i oil my scalp on those nights with grapeseed and peppermint oil. And the next morning i wash it out and shampoo with shea moisture curl enhancing shampoo. Then condition and go about my conditioner only styling routine. So, i don't really know where to fit that in at. If i add clarifying with a shampoo that has strong enough ingredients to take out the silicones and build up and such, and do that once a week, i could do that mask before i wash with that? Maybe an hour before? I'm just trying to get this down pat, sorry for the rant.

I am modified cg in that I low poo once a month. To answer your question, I dampen my hair with my spritz that consists of rosewater, TN, lavender oil, peppermint oil, rosemary oil. I apply the masque to my dampened hair that I have separated into four sections. I detangle my hair while in the sections, then I put on a heat cap for 30 minutes. I rinse out the masque in the shower, then co-wash section by section.

SheaMoisture purification mask (black label): this stuff leaves my hair feeling like silk! I use this after I detangle and shampoo.

Aubrey Organics Swimmers Normalizing Conditioner (protein treatment): best protein treatment i have ever used. This treatment leaves my hair feeling moist, strong, and supple. Love it!
