Driving, SATs, touring colleges....

Oh my! My son is growing up so fast. He is 16 and a junior this year. I cannot believe how fast the years have gone by. I miss him being a little boy but I am also enjoying witnessing him becoming a young man. One thing I recenlty realized is that he'll be in his first year of college while I'll be in my last! :)

He is taking his SATs today and woke himself up and drove to them!

I understand. My oldest is 17 and a senior. He just took his SATs last Saturday.

    I have a 15yo daughter too.

Oh I know this alllll too well, my 18 yr old daughter is in her first year of college. Last weekend she called us from her friend's dorm room in MIAMI as if it were no big deal that she and her other friend flew down there by themselves. Needless to say, we are still in shock, seems like all 3 of them were just girl scouts.

    ...i'm supersonic

My oldest will be 18 in a month, can't quite get my head around it. I've enjoyed seeing him grow up but it's hard letting go and letting him be independent. We're looking at buying him a car for his birthday but the thought of him driving brings me out in a cold sweat. He has three weeks left at school, it's so strange to me that he's almost officially a grown-up!
