Anybody seen the two new vo5 conditioners? New Clarifying!

I was just at the grocery and spotted two what seems to be new VO5 conditioners (had the accompanying poos as well)...one is Tea Therapy VANILLA MINT TEA CLARIFYING! I think I will like this one...I love tea therapy and I love their kiwi lime...this one sounds awesome as well...it has peppermint extract in it too (still no cones). And the other one is a vita burst one with orange peel extract...to strengthen or something, I didn't get that one though although it smelled good too. I am excited about the vanilla mint one..going to try it tomorrow!

oh oh oooooooooooh peppermint is right up my alley! I'm looking for something with that in it for co wash woohoo!
I'll watch for these when I go to try and scour up some of the suave aloe gel.

It sounds fab for co-washing, and the mint instantly made me think of No-Poo. No restraint I'm telling ya.

Yes exactly! I love no poo but if I could find something real similar for cheaper I'm so there! I keep thinking it's the peppermint in no poo that's lacking in the other condish I use to co wash with.

Dang it I'm nearly in a frenzy I gotta chill but dang it I'm so excited! How sad is my world?

Ok if someone uses this before I get to it let me know how it cleans pretty please!

I'll use it tomorrow and let you know...I don't really smell the mint that much at all...not sure how strong it is, but that is exactly the reason I got it (because of the No Poo having peppermint).

Ohhhh VANILLA MINT TEA CLARIFYING! Sounds fabulous to me! Do you happen to know whether it has any protein in it?
Where would nc.com be without your great finds, hockeymomof3. You really know how to keep us PJs on our toes. :D

I gotta have "partners in crime" I guess :) It has panthenol, that's the only protein I think (unless biotin would be one too)...here are the ingredients:

Water (Aqua, Eau), Cetyl Alcohol, Stearalkonium Chloride, Cetrimonium Chloride, Glyceryl Stearate, DMDM Hydantoin, Disodium EDTA, Polysorbate 20, Propylene Glycol, Stearyl Alcohol, Steareth-21, Vanilla Panifolia Fruit Extract, Tocopheryl Acetate, Panthenol, Ascorbic Acid, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Leaf Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Niacinamide, Biotin, Fragrance (Parfum), Butylphenyl-methylpropional

 Oh, bummer. The panthenol isn't a problem but the Biotin is for me. Thanks for posting the ingredients for me though! I guess I could always just add peppermint to my conditioner and pretend like it's the same. :P

When I was in walmart yesterday, I noticed the shelves were very empty where vo5 usually sits, cause I was looking for the passion fruit one but they didn't have it...then I found this vanilla mint one at my grocery store.

Argh!!! I was just at Albertson's with my mom and looked especially for the VO5 kiwi lime to try co-washing. I skipped right by the tea therapy ones because I thought they'd be too heavy but I missed this CLARIFYING one by doing that! Dang it! :x

So, you would say this smells more like than Vanilla than the mint? And if so, what type of vanilla? Like a creamy vanilla ice cream? Vanilla extract? Or like the Suave/BBW Vanilla/Sugar scent?

I need details. DETAILS!!!!!!! Please let us know everything about this! If it's got good slip, if it cleans well, if it's moisturizing, if it detangles, EVERRRRRRYYYYYTHIIIIIIIIING!

As far as the smell..just sniffing it out of the bottle, it smells like the regular tea therapy to me, which is ok, but then when I took some out so I could feel the slip in my hands and under what, kinda "washing" my hands I guess with it, it smells lovely...like a vanilla perfume or something, it just smells really clean and fresh, not cheap.

I'll post about it as soon as I use it tomorrow AM. It would be awesome if it had nice slip and cleaned well...will be my HG co-wash for sure. The shampoo was a really pretty blue color...off topic, but I thought it was pretty.

Ooh, DominicanaHeat, I feel your pain! I loooooooove vanilla and peppermint, and they're even better together, and this could be cleansing enough so I could co-wash and be happy and it is sooooo hard to sit on my hands waiting to hear what hockeymomof3 says.

Speaking of which, how does it feel to know that curlies are once again waiting with bated breath for your next review? :D

(BTW, how's that cone-free curl vive condish going? Or has it been abandoned for the Regis OO?)

wild-sasparilla -- (OH I have actually been meaning to pick up the TJ's nourish poo cause I have the condish and like that!) :) I know, I hope I do a good review tomorrow!! Oh and the vive condish...I absolutely love the consistency, but I can't get past the smell...I'll have to give it another try sometime.

I went to the VO5 site but apparently it hasn't been updated in a while...they are still showing the old packaging and none of the new products.

You detangle with your co wash conditioner? I always wait until the rinse out. I suppose that makes sense though since you need it to clean all the hair not just the stuff not tangled. But then I dont' get bad tangles usually.

I'll be watching to see how it works. I'm already making plans to go get both new ones tomorrow. I mean as long as I'm out for the vanilla mint I might as well get the other too right?

For me, for detangling, it depends, if the co wash I am using is slippery enough, I sometimes won't use a heavier conditioner and just do a 1-step co-wash/condition.

Darn . . . two Bartell's and one QFC later and neither of these new conditioners are in my posession. The quest will continue tomorrow. :? Anyone seen these at something like a Walgreen's or Target? :)

If I could put as much energy into my work as I do into discovering, collecting and trying hair products lately . . . I would be so productive.

My hair has been feeling dry and looking undefined and bushy lately (due to extremely cold and dry weather, plus maybe it's just bored with the same old products).
So, thanks to some recommendations at NC I bought the following a couple weeks ago -
    VO5 vanilla mint clarifying
    VO5 grapefruit mandarin volumizing
Back to Basics pomegranate peach replenishing
    Back to Basics body boosting

I condition wash with one of the VO5's and then add one of the Back to Basics and leave a little in. My hair has definitely perked up and looks and feels much better.
    Yay for new cheap products!

I got the VO5's at the grocery store (Giant Eagle). I haven't looked for them elsewhere so I don't know if our Kmart or Eckards/CVS have them yet.

I used the new vanilla mint clarifying condish to co-wash this morning --
First, it's thin just like the other vo5 conditioners. I used quite a bit to massage my scalp and cover my hair and ran a bit of water through to make it sudsy feeling (not really sudsy just enough where I can massage my scalp without it tangling my hair). The smell was not strong at all and it really reminded me of the regular tea therapy for the most part..it smells a little perfumey or something, but it smells good, just not the vanilla/mint mix I was hoping for. As for the clarifying, I don't think it is as clarifying as say the kiwi lime -- my hair felt "softer" using this conditioner vs. the kiwi lime, and it felt smoother. As for detangling, it is about the same as the other vo5's, nothing more or less in my experience. The smell doesn't seem to linger on my hair very much. Hair is currently drying, I'll update later on how it looks dry.
