One month into my Curly Girl journey

Sooo I want say thank you to everyone who has helped me in this past month when I started the CG method. When I first started my hair was looking great and then wham all this other stuff was going on with my hair and I was not liking the way it was looking and all you ladies taught me so much about protein, over conditioning, low porosity and so forth. It was rough trying to understand everything and find a routine but I finally found a routine that works for my hair and I'm loving my natural curly girl journey.

Sorry just saw your post. I have been co washing every other day, twice a week I use Shea moisture shampoo. I due tangle in the shower. Use a very wide tooth comb after finger combing to distribute conditioner. I have been using tresesme naturals. I would scrunch some of the conditioner out. I would do this with my head flipped upside down. Then in the shower I would add Shea moisture curl smoothie and la looks gel and comb through my hair again. I scrunch firmly and then go back and separate the ones stuck together. I take my microfibres towel and scrunch sown water out. Then I air dry. I haven't done any protein treatments and for deep treatment I just pit coconut oil at night braid in two braids and put in hair bonnet.

Your hair looks beautiful! Congratulations on finding your "hair groove" so quickly - it took me 6 months to develop a regimen, and it's still a work in progress.

    Very impressive!
