    Hi Monica,

Mine was waist length til a few days ago, but 5 inches or so of that was chemically straightened, so I've taken some scissors to it now. Needless to say, it shrank after the snip, so its probably about bra strap length now.

How do you care for such long hair? Do you get very dry ends?

Mine isn't super long. It's just below BSL when wet/straight, and various lengths when dry due to shrinkage.

Heck, I had massive shrinkage yesterday, and my curls just grazed my bottoms of my shoulders.

Do you lose curl at your length? I had wondered if very long hair just takes out the curl.

When mine was longer, I found I had less volume, and the curls at the back were pulled out. Now its shorter, it curls much more at the back.

My hair was a bit longer than tailbone length (when wet/pulled straight) for a long time. I had it cut to waist length a couple months ago. I'm thinking of having it cut shorter. The length seems to pull the curl out.

My hair was to my belly button before my big chop in July. It is now a few inches below BSL and it is WAY curlier without the extra length/weight. At that length I was a strong wavy now I am a spirally 3A.
I am growing it back tho b/c it just falls so much better without the layers.
Lots of Fine easily weighed down 3A curls
PJ currently loving Devacare one c, CEHT,& Durahold but still searching for HGs
Finally grew out my bad layers!!!

My hair is just below my bra in the back which is the longest it's been for me in years. My husband loves it and I like it but it's getting to be a bit annoying to detangle in the shower. It's taking about 15-20 minutes to really detangle while before it didn't take so long.

I've noticed my curls are weighted down too. My curls are their best when my hair is about 1-2 inches above the bra. I also get a little more root volume then too. Right now they are a little weighted and the top is pretty flat.
2b/3a, primarily use Jessicurl and DevaCurl products, Curls Hair Tea conditioner and various gels. I'm modified CG-ish since 5/04.
