Survivor 25: Philippines **Possible Spoilers**

missbanjomissbanjo Posts: 3,088Registered Users
Wed, Sept 19. Eleven days!

I'm glad Russell is getting a second chance, I do believe I liked him.

Jonathan, oooh mister I-think-I'm-so-slick. I believe I remember NOT liking him one little bit.

I wasn't watching when Michael had his season (2, Australian Outback) so can't say much about him although what happened to get medevac'd, holy crap!

And Lisa Welchel, that should be interesting.

Can't wait!

Was Michael the one that fell in the fire??

The guy who did go had me LOL because that was a stupid move that no one fell for

I am not sad to see the guy who went go. He was annoying me to no end. Making alliances with others in front of the others. Yah I get it. You wanted them to know. But still annoying. And what is up with the guy who fell in the fire? Is he accident prone??? I do not remember that season well so I don't recall if he was then too.

Doesn't look like he "kinged" himself. Dumbarse.

Russ annoys me. He just won't stop talking.

Michael seems like he's got some issues there with the constant injuries. But it could be that he's being edited to portray that. Maybe others get injuries but they don't show us that? He's a hottie, though. So is Mr. Ponytail (Malcom?).

Investment banker bugs me. Why do they always come across as such pompous jerks on tv?

    I'm rooting for Lisa!

I'm rooting for Lisa too. I hope Michael goes with his gut and starts playing the game instead of trying to be heman.

Every season I swear I'm not watching the next one - but then they go and bring back the people who were medivacced (spelling???) and LISA WHELCHEL! I had to watch.

I was so excited to see Russell - then he started talking, then he started shushing everyone else, then he KEPT talking, well, I really wanted him to be voted out (although, really Zane?? make alliances with everyone, TELL everyone and then say "vote me out". Poor guy really had no clue)

I'm secretly rooting for Lisa but fear she may not be able to play the social game (esp. with the previews from next week)

Investment banker - not sure what to make of her yet - she's certainly aggressive. I don't think I care for her, but not sure how I feel about her as a player, either.

I agree on investment banker-annoying!! And what was up with the girl talking about her booty? Shut up.

I'm not too keen on the investment banker either, her shark attitude makes sense because of what she does.

I'm not surprised Zane got the boot, he was acting pretty stupid. When he started talking to people and they thought he was smart (uhh...huh?) I knew he wasn't. I think he may have been coached by a smarter friend to make alliances right away and went overboard.

investment banker reminds me of Parvati - not in a good way
(although Parvati made it far every time she played, right? I only saw her once in Heroes vs Villians)

and, I love that Parvati's last name is Shallow - makes me laugh every time.

Lisa seems like such a nice person but not great at the social game. Shame.

I would think differently than the newbies. I would latch onto one of the people who played before and get all their smarts. . . which is what Michael's team seems to be doing. Wise on their part.

Hmmm. Roxy may have exaggerated somewhat but that "friendship" will become more if they're not separated. She's not his sister and the level it's at now is the equivalent of a first date with both interested in more.

The moment he tried to defend "cookies" they lost all credibility regarding "friends/sister/I'm just so cold" (not that i think they had much credibility anyway...).

Was she trying to be cute or is she really that clueless? (cookies?!)

Poor Lisa sitting on the well, I do hope her puzzle assistance gains her some points with her tribe.

I like the three tribes but feel like we aren't seeing enough different people (this is one reason I didn't like redemption island, too much of the same people getting screen time)

I read somewhere that Lisa's marriage of 24 years ended (divorce was final) early in March of this year, and that she had to show up for Survivor about 2 weeks later. I think she is just going through a really tough time emotionally while this is being filmed. No wonder up to this point she has been an outsider. I can't imagine carrying all of that and trying to play the game at the same time.

    Wow, that would be tough.

I agree that I feel like I am not seeing much of the interaction because the time is now split 3 ways. I was hoping Roxy would make it but oh well. From the previews whatshisname gets hurt again-I think he is very accident prone.

I read the same thing about Lisa's marriage, I can't imagine how tough that is to process and play the game, especially since she's always had a role... First in acting, didn't she say at age 12 she left home for mickey mouse club? Then The Facts of Life, then she married her husband a few months after that show ended, had kids, they're off to college now and now marriage is gone. I really like her and want her to do well club (as if that's not obvious from the above paragraph of empathy!) :)

I am so glad the bigboobedblonde (Angie) is gone. She was on my last nerve going on and on about she didn't quit. Girl, you sure has heck looked liked you did to me. Denise was all over that challenge. I know Russell had issues too but Angie bugged me more. I like Malcolm. I feel like I do not know much about anyone though-the 3 tribe thing is spreading out too much. Oh, and Abi-Maria is annoying me too.

I'm glad she is gone too. I'm pretty sure she said she couldn't do it when they asked her. So the whole I don't quit thing was on my nerves. I'm liking Malcolm more too.
Looks like Lisa may be getting a chance.
Abi Maria (?) Is really on my nerves and I think she may blindside RC.
But I kind of felt like not a lot really happened this episode. I think because they are doing joint immunity and reward challenges we aren't seeing much interaction.

So far I'm really digging the Denise-Malcolm alliance. Aside from the fact that they both seem like smart, savvy, competitive players, it's refreshing to see an alliance between a young guy (especially a hot one) and a smart, older woman on Survivor. All too often you have the young, "beautiful" people forming cliques and targeting the older folks. Or you have younger players in awe of an older, returning player (like Rob - although he was only "old" relative to his teammates). But it's less common to see an alliance like Malcolm-Denise that's just based on mutual respect. Plus, they get props for dealing with the rest of their tribe members, who are not only useless in challenges, but annoying as heck. I don't remember Russell leaving much of an impression the first time he played the game, but I find him so insufferable this time around. And while I couldn't stand Angie either, Russell addressing her as "little girl" was so condescending and sexist.

I didn't watch Skupin's original season, but I'm kind of rooting for him based on what I've seen this season. Although at the rate he's going, he might end up getting med-evac'd a second time. So far, I think he has a gash on his forehead, a deep cut on the bottom of his foot, a cut on his finger and, most recently, blood dripping from his face... and it's only been a week!

I don't feel like I know Penner's tribe at all, but I guess we'll get to know those players later in the season.

I really like the Denise-Malcolm alliance too. Hope that team can hold on for a while so we can see it go longer. They are both strong physically and mentally. Would like to see them get a chance to get near the end or all the way there.

Poor Skupin. Like you, I kind of like him too but have never seen a Survivor player so accident prone. At the rate he is going he won't have to get voted out, like you said he might be med-evac'd again.

I don't like Abi. There is always one woman you want to hate, and she's mine this season.

I flipped to Fox during a commercial on Survivor this week, and they were showing a commercial for the upcoming World Series. One of the people used in the commercial was Jeff Kent when he was with the Astros.

I also like the Malcolm-Denis alliance. Malcolm seems to have a good head on his shoulder. Russell - I like him, but he talks too much. I don't think he meant to be cruel to Angie, but he overdid it.

Lisa looks amazing for being nearly 50. I think she is getting used to the social aspect. Michael is going to hurt himself really badly again.

Michaels team seemed a bit annoyed over the goggle thing too. I wonder if Lisa can really pull off taking Michael out.

His sportsmanship was atrocious, I liked him on the previous season, but they'd also made him captain so perhaps I forgave some of his arrogance? (or maybe they didn't lose enough for him to act like such a... Jerk. A big jerk.) Drawing all that attention to himself after they lost really just took away from the win everyone else was excited about. Yes, big jerk.

I felt a tiny bit bad for RC, getting played as she did. If she doesn't do something soon I think she won't last long (and we will be stuck with Abi!)

Also very proud of Lisa this week, she's getting the hang of the social game, fanning the flames of the abi/ rc drama.

Noticed baseball.dude is wearing a knee brace now (in the challenge) so he.must have had medical help (or brought a brace with him? But if that is the case, why didn't he put it on the minute they hit the beach?)

Any guesses on who gets medical help next week? Has a woman ever been medi vacced? Previews made me assume it was a man.

In the previews they showed Michael holding his knee brace saying something. It may be him since he's had surgeries in both. IDK, we'll see.
