My eureka moment now what?

So I'm not sure if I should be happy that I just realized I am protein sensitive or cry because of how much I have spent on products that I now realize after reading these boards are full of proteins. My hair has been looking super stringy and flat. So now what? Where do I go from here and what regiments do you ladies do? Thank you

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking. Help with product suggestions?

You may need to find out which proteins you can tolerate, you may not be sensitive to all proteins. Next the key is balance between moisture and balance. Pay attention to your curls. Try a conditioner that will give you a lite dose of protein AND moisture. If you chose to just use a conditioner with protein alone you need to follow with a deep moisturizing conditioner. Keep the balance but be careful not to over condition and end up with mushy hair!!

Are you sure you're protein sensitive?? Stringy and flat aren't usually signs of protein sensitivity. Protein sensitivity is usually reported as hard and like straw.

I have had a lot of straw like hair and realized that a lot of items I was using had protein in them.

If someone is protein sensitive, can products containing the proteins be mixed with moisturizing ones to get rid of the products. I have a lot of products that I would like to use but don't want hard hay like hair.

I do know that with some of my masks/deep conditioners to just follow up with an extra moistuizing conditioner but can I mix a styling product?

Honestly I don't even know now what is going on with my hair. Someone told me I was protein hungry instead and I started using protein and my hair is doing way better, it sounded like it was just over conditioned. I'm having a hard time understanding my hair properties and keep balance. I tried a Castillo soap wash and acv rinse for the first time yesterday and my hair looked amazing after styling I even got second day hair for the first time today, but my hair was moist and my roots never completely dried for literally the whole day yesterday, so does that sound like m still over conditioned or just low porosity? Thanks for the input

Long time drying would be low porosity.
