Regular usage of castor oil is purported to increase hair growth, reduce or prevent damage and breakage, treat dry hair conditions and condition and moisturize hair and scalp. The oil can be used to prevent hair frizz and/or split ends.

The oil can be thinned out with grape seed or jojoba oil. Combining a little castor oil with olive, coconut, almond or tea tree oil helps prevent hair breakage. The moisture benefits of these oils prevent the hair from becoming dry and brittle.

Curly cutie how it's going for you:)

Good but I really dnt see growth because my hair has always grown fast and I'm not anal to the point to pull out my tape measurer to check but the tea tree keeps my scalp feeling clean and the castor oil makes my hair feel nice.

Yea you need to low poo at less once a week or after 4 day hair depends
How you use it cause castor oil can thin out alil with another light oil like jojoba . Grapeseed . Almond oil ect. Iam going to try it with sweet almond cause I have alot of falling atm :/

Does your hair strands feel thicker n smoother, heard that what it does

But idk Iam new to this challenge too soo let's see :)

Join alil late when you get it post the day here when you first start using it:)
    Look on amazon

And yea, i think you need to at less use some type of cleanser cause it's thick but you can thin it out alil with an lighter oil

Did it make you hair strands thicker n smoother?

I'm in once I buy some but the only one I know is the regular one that's used for laxatives...its kind of thick and when I asked the guy that worked there about it he said he never heard of it for hair.
  • KeihsKeihs Posts: 435Registered Users
Aww.. I use the regular 100% one (used as a laxative) from walgreens, but I'm not sure if it's cold-pressed. Does that mean I can't join? I've used it consistently for only about a week or two then stopped cuz I've been busy. Anyways, I'm no-poo but I can remove it with co-washing (without being greasy). Though, I did notice that some conditioners work better than some. To make it easier to apply, you could add some other oil to thin it out and put it in one of those bottles with a pointy tip, like ketchup/mustard bottles or applicator bottles. Some people even use paintbrushes. I only applied it to the scalp though. When I use my hands, I just get enough to make my hand shiny when I rub it together, then massage. Some people also like to hear it up so it's warm, not hot! Hope I've helped. I heard it helps with thickening thinning strands and increasing growth rate to it's potential.. Good luck!
