Need keratin protein recommendation

CurlyMJCurlyMJ Registered Users Posts: 193
Hi guys - i think my hair needs protein. I'm not yet sure if my hair likes or dislikes protein so I'm looking for a very light protein treatment and from what I've read, a keratin protein treatment would be good. I did color my hair about 2 months a go if that makes A difference.

I went to Sally's but couldn't find a treatment without cones so hoping you guys will have a good recommendation. Thanks!

Ingredientstodiefor added a protein treatment to their hair bases if you want to try that...it has alot of other really good ingredients like nettle and horsetail which work to make the hair stronger as well. (and creatine which is great for hair apparently) It has Keratin, and quinoa protein.

    Organicals Intense Reconstructing Creme

I use their organicals deep conditioning creme base as my staple DC, their products are of good quality ingredients if anything, they are unscents ready to use bases so you don't have to mix anyhting.

I ordered some samples of the protein treatment the other day ^^ I can't wait to try it.

Many people here recommend the Neutral Protein Filler at Sally's. I bought it yesterday for the first time, and I love it! You can add a few drops to your conditioner of styling products to amp up or add protein. I mixed a healthy dose of it with water in a spray bottle and also added it to my CJ Curl Queen gel. I have very fine hair, so the amount of it I'm using might not suit you. I like that you can tailor it to different hair's needs easily.

2b/c mix, fine strands, low porosity, medium density, and normal elasticity.

    Love Curl Junkie!

Many people on curltalk recommend Neutral Protein Filler from Sally's. I bought it for the first time yesterday, and I love it! I have very fine hair, so I've used a fair amount of it, ten drops or so added to my CJCQ, also a tsp or so mixed with water in a spray bottle and sprayed on mostly dry hair. It's great because you can try small doses of it added to products that you already have, adding more or less depending on your hair's needs.

2b/c mix, fine strands, low porosity, medium density, and normal elasticity.

    Love Curl Junkie! T

For a really light one, try Curl Junkie Beauticurls Strengthening conditioner. Very light but moisturizing. I like Curl Junkie Repair Me for a harder shot of protein.
