Avocado, Olive Oil, Honey, Egg

I mixed some of this up earlier today (followed the recipe here) smooshed it on my hair, covered with plastic wrap and left it on my hair for almost an hour. I rinsed well with cool water then shampooed with Mop C shampoo, then scrunched in some Marie Dean Mango Capuaco Hair Pudding which is super moisturizing.
My hair feels sort of stiff....and I have some real snarly bits in a few places. It felt more stiff before I scrunched in the pudding.
What gives? Most of the posts I've read from others who have used this treatment say how lovely and soft their hair feels afterward.
My hair is not feeling like that at all. Any ideas as to why that might be?

I have used SS leave in protein spray with great success...as long as I don't use it too often. I don't think I'll use egg in it again.

I'm going to wet it in the shower and do a DT....see if I can get it to look less scary so I can leave my house today!
