Shampoo/conditioner/DC purchase. I need opinions, please.

Hi, everyone. Today I made a trip to the hair salon and ended up getting my hair shampooed, conditioned, deep conditioned, wrapped and set, and flat ironed. I had hoped that my hair would be in good enough condition to switch back to a relaxer after having stretched it for about 4 months. Unfortunately, I was told that my hair is over-processed and needs to heal before I can even consider getting another relaxer. On top of that, I dyed my hair about 2-3 months ago, which obviously wasn't very smart. I had been doing that to my hair for a while without thinking/realizing the extreme damage and stress I was putting onto my hair. Anyway, onto the reason why I began writing this post. After my visit, I purchased some new products. Obviously certain products work better for others, but I'd like to know if anyone's purchased/used these products, the pros/cons, and how well it helped you manage your hair.

  1. Motions Professional: CPR Treatment Conditioner
  2. Silk Elements Kera Minerals Smoothing Deep Conditioner
  3. Silk Elements ColorCare Sulfate-Free Shampoo
  4. Silk Elements Heat Protection Spray

Sidenote: I've thought about returning the protection spray and exchanging it for a leave in conditioner that protects against heat styling. There's just something about using heat protectant as a spray that doesn't leave me feeling too trustworthy.

Anyway, I would greatly appreciate any comments about any of these products. I'm really trying to get my hair back in tip top shape, or about as healthy as it can get, and any advice would be great. If you're wondering what my routine is, I'll let you know now that up until today it wasn't a healthy one. I have now decided that I am going to wear my hair straight for a week, shampoo, condition, deep condition while wearing a processing cap, rinse, apply a leave in conditioner and let it set with a processing cap, and then proceed to flat iron. I used to blowdry/flat iron my hair after every wash, which would be every 2-3 days and it was just horrible for my hair. I am now deciding to just let my hair air dry with a leave in conditioner applied to it. As of this moment, I am wearing a satin cap on my head, getting ready to sleep, and leaving my flat ironed hair untouched with products/water for about 5 days before I decide to use these products. I purchased processing caps to use for my deep condition sessions as well.

Thanks, ladies! ;-)
