Adding moisture to lotion?

I bought some lotion, expensive, smells great, but it's not moisturizing enough. What can I add to it for more moisture? Olive oil? Vitamin e? Id appreciate any tips!

I heard glycerin is great, but only in humid climates (or was it cold..). It's supposed to be a humectant, but in certain climates it can actually suck moisture out of your skin drying you out more, than giving it. But I can't remember if it's cold or hot.. Im not very reliable, but I know glycerin helps. Yeah, I'm not really helping, am I? I'm gonna shut up now.
