HAIR HELL! when the bf doesn't like my hair.

bre_bre_ Posts: 32Registered Users
Me and my bf are close. We both have curly hair... his hair is beautiful. Mine is bleh. He loves me but he doesn't like the way my hair looks when its frizzy. See my hair when its in its natural state is very curly and has volume more like type 3b hair. Usally I use gels, hair milks and oil grease to get some curls and some bounce into my hair after awhile it tends to frizz up. :( I even deffuse alittle bit like 10% and let the rest air dry without touching it. He disapproves of how it looks. He claims its frizzy. Could someone help me with a remedy for anti frizz. I wanna prove my bf wrong that my curls really beautiful. HELP!!!!!!

Ummmm you shouldn't have to prove anything. If your hair is on the frizzy side then your hair is on the frizzy side and he needs to accept that like you accept him. However I could be biased since I love huge, frizzy (as long as it don't look DRY), poofy hair.

Because I do like huge hair and dont mind the frizz I use curl cremes if I want a moisturized, more "defined" curly look...but I live in a humid climate and my hair puffs up throughout the day. I'm not big on gel/mousse either, so I don't know what to tell you. I'm so unhelpful :( Good luck though! :)

    Ditto to the above.

Frizz usually means there is a lack of moisture. What products do you currently use?

I use Shea moisture's thickening& growth milk made with Yucca and shea butter.

I also use alittle hair grease for my dry hair.

Then the gel I use ECO colored gels. You know the blue ones, pink ones, etc. I currently use the white clear eco gel.

Do you DC? The SM products contain protein, especially the thickening line. That could be leading to the dryness and frizziness

Frizzy-ness usually means that theres a lack of moisture in the hair and because of this the strands reach up to find moisture in the air. Try a shampoo with no sulfates in it because sulfates are known for drying out your hair, stripping it of its natural moisture. Hope this helps :)
