What to wear to a company anniversary party?

JosephineJosephine Posts: 14,175Registered Users
I'm going as a date to a friend's company's anniversary party. It's in town at a kinda nice restaurant. They have the upper floor reserved from 8-12am. What am I supposed to wear? Similar to what I'd wear to a company xmas party? I did not realize I probably have to dress up..Ugh.

Yup. Or whatever you'd wear to a really nice dinner. If that's dressy pants and a top for you, then go ahead. But a company party starting at 8pm? I wouldn't be surprised to see some guys in suits and ties and some women in dressy cocktail dresses, and other guys just in black
pants and a tucked in button down, and women in dressy pants with heels and a dressy top.

I'd ask the friend because they're all different.
When are women going to face the fact that they don’t know their own bodies as well as men who have heard things?

This is what I did but he said he'd call me today with more details. He said it's casual, he's wearing linen pants, untucked dress shirt, and flip flops. I'm still confused. I want to know if it's jeans casual or not. I guess otherwise summer dress? Mine are all very daytime and youngish looking. The fitted ones are not fitting my fat ass now. Urgh.

Agreed. You can't go wrong with this. Wedge sandals also acceptable.

I got the email that explained the dress code and it said casual. I'm wearing jeans, heels, and cute top. Wish I had a cute casual type dress to wear but I don't.
