Bald patch!

I just noticed a bald patch about the size of a dime on the top of my head! It's slightly pink, smooth, about the size of a dime. What could it be? I'm freaking out!

well i know you can get ring worm on your scalp, if it in a circle i'd put some tinactin on it and see if it goes away. (I get ring worm on my face periodically warm climate and lots of camping)

Here's an old school remedy for ringworm that works like a charm....white iodine...only now they call it decolorized iodine at CVS. It's a clear liquid with the nose stinging smell of ammonia. My mom used it on us kids when we caught them at school. I used it a few years ago when I caught a huge one on back of my neck from my elementary students. Lotrimin didn't do it after 2 or 3 weeks but the iodine killed the awful thing in about a week. Dried it up & killed it dead. Use 2x a day that's it.

I saw a dermatologist and was diagnosed with alopecia. Does anyone know if there is hope for regrowth? My derm was nice but didn't give me any assurances that my hair would come back.

I'm sorry to hear about your diagnoses. I'm afraid the only person I know with this was diagnosed as a small child and she's never had hair as long as i've known her. She sure does rock the no locks look though.

I had three bald spots at my nape years ago and it was diagnosed as alopecia. They did grow back. I hope they do for you too.

You could try massaging an oil mixture of jojoba, peppermint, burdock root.
