Can you use a light organic conditioner as a leave in conditioner?

Some RenPure organics moisture conditioner was on sale and I read online It's okay to leave a rinse out conditioner in if it wasn't too heavy and you didn't use it on your roots/scalp. The conditioner feels really light and I left it in and it feels great but a lot of sites advise against leaving conditioner in your hair. Is there something I am missing, or is it ok? I have 3b curls if that makes any difference.
