How to travel with curly hair?

well i normally used to straighten my hair and after a long flight it felt weird and greasy... but I want to keep it curly for when I see my family after a long time but without it getting ruined. It's a 15 hour flight...so should I put it in a pineapple in the plane? will that prevent the weird feeling of hair after a flight? Any suggestions or what you guys do...thanks

how about a curly side braid? That's what I usually do if I'm on a plane because leaving it down it just not gonna work. There's something about airplane seats that totally destroy anyone's hair, curly or not.

when i fly i gotta fly for 21 hours, so i always have at least one break. when i first get on the plan i put it up in a pineapple or a loose braid or somthing when i know im going to try to sleep. then a few hours before i arrive i take it out and refresh my curls. i always bring a few things along and go to the toilets. then when you arrive you feel alot better and refreshed.

my hair: 3b, high porosity, high density and coarse hair (i think i finally figured that all out)
my hair loves conditioner only styling!
Oils and my own procuts are my hairs best friend
my hair goal length is bra strap length when curly.

I must admit I cheat when flying. You can do about 8 braids or twists and put on a stylishly wrapped Tichel, makeup and dangling earrings and even if there are unforeseen delays, your hair will not suffer. I especially like to go this route for international travel. Of course, a bun with a flower works too.

I tend to make long drives. Like 8 hours. I like to braid or twist then cover it with a scarf. I do the same when I fly.
Yes, it's real. No, you can't touch it. :wav:
