I still don't know the sex (hopefully Friday), but in case it's a boy, can you think of anything that goes with River??????

A family member recently named their boy "Rivers", but calling him by his middle name.

For us, we're using hubby's first name for baby's middle name, so that make it easier, since we've still not decided on a first name

How about your maiden name or a family name?

Does this mean you've sold your hubby on River? :)

You said he wasn't into that name, right?

Hehee...I'm still hoping to change his mind!

My last name is two words. Each word is one syllable.

Your last name isn't the name of an actual river is it? :)

What about a family name? All the oldest guys in my family have their fathers first name as a middle name!

I was thinking a one syllable classic name would work but I couldn't think of one. James is nice. George would be another.

That's what we're doing with our baby boy- his middle name will be husband's first name, just like hubby's middle is his dad's first name.

My husband's name sounds goofy with River, but I have been thinking about James. It is my brother's name. River James.... There is not an actual River James is there? James River?

I don't think so. I've never heard of the James River. I think most people, unless they live in VA, would even make a connection and think, "oh, she just reversed the name," like they would River Nile. :D

I used to live on the James River so I did make the connection. Yeah, to me it sounds like the way people say "the River Nile" or "the River Thames" or something.

But yeah I don't think most people have heard of that river.
