Products for straightening hair?

calicourtcalicourt Posts: 36Registered Users
What products should I use to straighten my hair becuase I always get a dry stiff look and I want the salon flowy look :(. Last time I used shea moisture smoothie after washing my hair and put in twists and let them air dry. The next day I applied olive oil but I wonder if my flatiron was too high or not using the right products ;(

I've banned myself from using my straightener so I don't know of any drugstore products that are good for it. I do know now that whatever you use you need a good heat protectant. I have read somewhere here that jojoba oil is good for that. I can't remember which thread it was but if you do a search you may find some good info. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
