Glycerin in Co-Wash okay?

Hey Curlies!,
I went north of the border this weekend:love5:. While I was there I picked up a bottle of Live Clean Apple Cider Vinegar Clarifying Finishing Rinse. Much to my dismay I saw that glycerin is an ingredient. Then I thought maybe the glycerin won't have any ill effects if it's rinsed out. Too me it's the same principle as some of us not using protein styling products.

After using this product as a co-wash my hair was super soft!

Have any other glycerin sensitive curlies had success with glycerin included in their co-wash only?

I wouldn't worry about it! From my experience, glycerin is fine as long as it isn't in your leave-in.

However, because of the acidity, I would not use this product as a regular cowash. I'd use it maybe once or twice a week at the most to avoid damage.

I do a clarifying co-wash about once a week and follow with a deep treatment. I probably won't use as often cuz its hard to find in the U.S. Thank u for the heads up about it being acidic!

I've been cowashing with Live Clean Apple Cider Vinegar Finishing Rinse and Down Under Naturals Conditioner for about a week now. Both products have glycerin pretty high up in the ingredients list. So far so good. I think my hair is a lot softer now and curlier. Now that I'm not afraid of glycerin there are a lot more conditioners I can try. Long story short? As long as it's completely rinsed out glycerin is good in my book.
