Henna on Black hair

Hello Ladies,

I have pitch black hair and starting to get couple of grey hair here and there. I was wondering if I could try pure henna from Indian stores, But not sure if it will also change the black hair into some other color eventually? My goal is to hide the greys

My hair is on the low porosity side, course and dense 3-4 inches past BSL

Any Suggestions??
3a with some 2a-2c, Medium/Low Porosity

Detangle:Suave
Leave-in:Shea Moisture/GVP conditioning Balm/AOHSR

Since long hair- I finger twist in big chunks, which helps till 5th day hair:farao:
Gel:LA sports
Plop: Old T-shirt for 15 minutes ,diffuse

I have really black hair too. I find that henna covers the greys really well without affecting my color at all. I've been doing henna for almost a year and my hair is pretty dark.

Something to note is that your white/grey hairs will be bright orange, at least for the first few treatments until the color builds up. Just FYI. I spy a bright orange strand in my dark brown hair every once in awhile. I like it better than the whites, but I wonder how it'll look once there's more of them... HTH!

You could also try mixing the henna with indigo to deepen the black/dark color, or do it as a 2-step process, first henna, then the indigo to get even blacker black :P but that's a lot more complicated...
