Do I use too much product?

Lately, I've been feeling like I put too much stuff in my hair...like high maintenance I guess :(

A lot of people I know only use shampoo and conditioner, but I use...
-cleansing conditioner
-styling cream-gel
-honey
-leave-in conditioning spritz for second day hair
-weekly clarifyer

Is that too much?

That's not much at all. I personally don't know anyone who only uses shampoo and conditioner- not even my straight-haired friends.

hahahaha, oh my gosh, I always feel like this! My uncle and cousin were visiting the other week and I hide all of my hair products because I was so embarrassed by the ridiculous amount of products I use (they're guys with straight hair, so of course they wouldn't understand...)

To put some perspective, I currently own almost 100 different hair products. That's too much. My primary focus when doing my hair is to methodically kill stash. I think even pared down I'll probably still end up with 30-40 products in rotation (I cleanse and re-style daily).

Other than my guy friends (and not all of them), no one I know only uses shampoo and conditioner, so don't worry.
On a weekly/biweekly (other than the PT/DT, I use all the other listed products are used at least weekly) basis, I use:
    •Gentle sulfate poo
    •Low poo
    •Moisturizing cleanser
    •Light conditioner with no protein
•Store bought protein treatment I use for rinse out
•Protein heavy conditioner (rotate 2-3 different ones)
•Light leave in conditioner (rotate 2 different ones)
    •Protein treatment
    •Deep treatment
    •Jelly product
    •Curl enhancing product
    •Hard hold gel
    •Super hard hold gel

Granted, this is with me rotating products, but on an average wash day, I probably use 5-6 products (counting products I mix together as one) - cleanser, rinse out, leave in, styler, potential 2nd styler, hard hold gel.

I consider my hair to be my hobby, so I don't mind having/using so many products; I think as long as you find what works for you, don't feel bad about it. Hope this helps you feel less high maintenance :)
