Well, Hello There! :)

So, I'm Ashley (Or, preferably NaeShelle/'Nae) and I've been lurking for a while, but, finally decided to join.

I am 5 months post relaxer and almost two months post "Transitioning Anniversary".

Oh, and I'm a teenager. :) Not that it matters, just love the teen community here, so, I figured I'd throw that in.

Hm... What else? Well, I have my own blog documenting my hair experiences, I'm a 4b (Well, the new growth that has grown in looks to be about a 4b consistently), though, I'm not really big into hair typing (even though, I won't lie, it does offer a great guideline of what should and shouldn't work with hair)... Uhm...

I don't know what else I can say! So... I'm 'Nae. :) Hey.

Hello & welcome!! I wish you great success in you healthy hair journey! I transitioned for one year & one week before I did my big shop.

How is it going for you dealing with both textures?

    Wooh, it's... Interesting.
My new growth is so different from my relaxed hair (extremely thick and curly) so I have to be a bit more firm with that then I am with my relaxed hair, though, I have to remember the demarcation line and attempt to not pull too hard for fear of snapping off even more hair...
I won't lie, sometimes it's just not fun (prompting me to just throw all of my hair back into a large braid), but, I'm learning.

It's just a journey, over all.
