Protein filler????

guthak01guthak01 Posts: 188Registered Users
So I know my hair loves protein, but I am really lazy and hate having to do protein treatments. I have read about the neutral protein filler from Sally's. So my question is, how should I use it and is it a good idea? I have heard of people adding it to their conditioner. I just am not quite sure how to use it. I saw an article on nc.com about lazy deep treatments so I was hoping I could use this product as a daily lazy protein treatment (or however often I need it). Any help or comments from experience would be greatly appreciated.
3a/3b, Low porosity, Medium Density
Low-poo: Shea Moisture Moisture Retention
RO: Matrix Biolage Conditioning Balm

I use the filler with the GVP k-pack. I put a tablespoon of filler and squirt some k-pack into a bowl (not sure how much k-pack I use. I eyeball it really.) and mix it up real good. I do this once a week.

I'm wondering the same thing. Have you tried it? If so how did it go?

Have it, use it, love it!!

I add it to a PT, I'll mix it with LI, or with my RO, or I'll put it in a misting bottle with some water and condish!

Love the stuff! I think next time I go to Sally's I'll be grabbing TWO bottles!!

^ +1 to that. It's great. I love it because if I have a conditioner I love except it doesn't have protein, it's the easiest way to fix that rather than hunting around for another one with protein already in it.
 fine, thin, normal/(low?) porosity. Mod-CG. Usually I can't co-wash more than 1x a week, & sometimes I have to use T-Gel in rotation due to scalp issues.

    Co-wash: VO5 Volumizing
    Poo: Giovanni 50:50
RO:TN, Nexxus Youth Renewal, Alba Coconut
    LI: KCKT
    PT: gelatin PT, ION EC
Stylers: Giovanni mousse, TIGI Curls Rock amplifier (a-cone), Curls Rock Strong Hold Mousse
    Gels: SCC spray gel
