jIt is entirely possible that hairtyping is a waste of time. However, it does help with limiting the field in terms of products and styles. The problem is that I go to look up hairstyles for 3c and see hair that doesn't look like mine. I know there are more ways to type hair, but if people who are not 3c call themselves 3c, it makes finding hairstyles for my hair more difficult. It's not that an type is better than another. Healthy hair is beautiful kinky :straight coily wavy big short or in between. I just get frustrated trying to change it up.when the hair is so different from mine but is listed as being the same as mine. And I'm so happy when I find another long haired 3c with the same hair.
