I'm much older than you and I don't wax my eyebrows at all. I use one of these:

I don't wax, pluck, or thread. Now with this method you have to shape them pretty often..but to me it beats the other options. I still get a very smooth result, no stubble after I do it, and there is no pain and no ripping something out at the root. LOL! I get these at Walgreens, Walmart, or Rite-Aid. Very inexpensive.

I would say ask your mom if it's okay to use these first and have her walk you through how to shape them a bit. You probably don't need to much off...just a little under the brow to give you more shape.

Another idea is to get some clear brow gel (or just some cheap clear mascara from the drug store and run some of the brow gel through your eyebrows to tame them all in one direction..they might look a little better if they are groomed).

    Good luck!

I second the clear mascara. Also ELF sells a brow grooming gel in target for $1.

I would have the brows professionally shaped first then you can maintain the shape if you want.

Waxing hurts but it's not bad. The new waxes don't grab the skin so only the hair is ripped out. You can use orajel on the area to be waxed about 10 minutes before and it'll help numb the area. Also taking some advil before helps. Don't wax the week before your period as you're more sensitive then.

My daughter has been getting her brows waxed since 13/14. I don't want her doing them herself since it's easy to take it too far and remove too much. Much easier for someone to shape her brows.

If you are going to wax, have someone else do it for you the first time, so that your brows are shaped nicely. After that, you will probably be able to maintain the shape.

Where I live it costs about $10 to get brows waxed in a salon.

    Threading is an option too.

Whatever you do, choose a look that you like and want. Don't let your friends decide how you should look.

If they're bushy, you may not need to wax. Get a small pair of hair scissors and trim them down. It could reveal a decent natural shape.

I think you should just go ahead and get them professionally waxed. Once you get them shaped up you can keep them up yourself fairly easy. I started getting mine done when I was probably 11 or 12 and I've been getting them waxed for 10 years or more now. It's really not that bad at all. It might sting at first but nothing bad and it's really quick and the results can last for about a month. If you think the pain will be too bad you can try to numb them with orajel or ice and also take some tylenol beforehand. Hope I helped :)
