Recipe for dandruff, shedding, and gentle clarifying!

I was doing an ACV rinse once a week, but I needed my scalp to be cleaned more than just once a week, and my cleansing conditioner just wasn't quite cleansing enough. Here is the recipe I used:

2 cups (16 oz.) water
2 green tea bags
about 8-12 drops of tea tree oil

I used this, and my hair wasn't greasy anymore yet not stripped. It wasn't shedding or flaky either! I thought shedding and flaking was just normal, even though they were frustrating. However, after I used this, NO FLAKES and very little shedding. I had tried coconut oil and tea tree shampoo for dandruff, but none of those worked. This really, really worked! I found out that tea tree oil is actually great for cleansing and dandruff, and green tea has tons of vitamins for hair and prevents shedding.

I don't think I'll use this every single day, but I would say it's gentle enough to use it that often, especially if you use less tea tree oil. My build-up is gone, too! Anyway, I hope this works for you

Oh! I don't pour all of this on my head at once. I put it in a spray bottle and spray probably 15-20 sprays all over my scalp and scratch away the build-up. The bottle looks like it is going to last me for a really long time!

I'll have to try this! Do you think it'll work for dry scalp?

It helps my scalp! I seriously don't have any flakes right now, even when I scratch my head to test. Oh, my scalp doesn't itch anymore, either. I cowash with my cleansing conditioner (which is actually really thick and hydrating,) and put some of it on my scalp. I do this spray afterwards. Now there's no dryness anymore

Do you steep the tea bags in hot water and make actual tea and then add the tea tree oil? I wonder how it'll keep long-term . . . .

    Not long :(
I found it had turned a red/brown today, so I just made a new rinse of 20 oz of water and 20 drops of tea tree oil. It still works w/o the green tea really well as a clarifyer!

Try keeping it in the fridge - it might keep a couple of weeks that way.
