Does anyone have any recipes using pure coconut milk. I added Shea butter to it but not quite sure what to do with it. Looking for. Leave in/something to help with my twist out as well as a spritz?

Ehh, I wouldn't use coconut milk as a leave-in. It's full of protein. The only time I've ever used it was actually for a protein treatment, and it's not very moisturizing.

Coconut milk turns my hair into straw. I cant use products that have it as ingredient like some AO conditioners. Way too much protein. Even for people whose hair loves protein wouldnt never recommend it as a leave in. You likely need a moisture dc after using it.
Yes, it's real. No, you can't touch it. :wav:

Yeah, coconut milk left my hair feeling like straw too. It was disgusting, actually. :(
Hair type: Mostly 3C, medium porosity to high porosity depending on the day, dense, fluffy, dry, tangly!

Hmm... that's weird I mixed it with Shea butter and did a Bantu knot out and my hair isn't dry like it usually...very soft and shiny. Thank u ladies...I'm going to only use it as a DC now...tried posting a PICT but not sure what I'm doing!

Apart from the protein issue, wouldn't you need some sort of preservative in it (beyond what the manufacturers put in, as I don't suppose they expected it to be left 'out')? :goofy: :dontknow:
My hair is in the 4s, low in porosity, high in density and coarse. :happy6:
