Short Pixies and 2c-3a hair

I just want some general thoughts and opinions on short to ultra short pixies and of course any experiences you or someone you know has had with this kind of hair cut.

I myself am thinking of cutting my hair into this style, and I would like some opinions. As of know my hair is a little shorter than mid-back length, and between 2c-3a. It is straight at the roots, and can be a bit frizzy without product. I want to cut it into a super short pixie like these pictures:

Here is what my hair and face look like. Do you think I could pull off a pixie with my face shape and hair type? Any recommendations?

Any thoughts, help and opinions are greatly appreciated C:

    Hi hannahp890,

I'm loving short hair at the moment and am planning on chopping my own hair in stages... first an inverted bob, then maybe longish on top, super short at the sides.

I reckon you could pull off a pixie and if it's what you want, go for it. Your hair may not curl much at such a short length if you say it's straightish at the roots. But if that's what you're aiming for (like in the pics) then that's no problem. It would work with your hair type, you just may have to use a bit of product to keep the style in check and discourage frizz. I think your hair would actually frizz less at this length, though.

I think you can absolutely pull it off and look completely adorable! Obviously it would be a huge change, but if you're certain you're ready....go for it! I suspect you'll be thrilled with how quickly you can style your hair when it's that short - even if you need to do it daily. If you do it, please post pics!

It would look totally cute, but know that the growing out period is awful once you decide you want to grow it out. So if you do it, plan on keeping it for awhile and getting regular trims to keep the shape nice. I loved my pixies, despite the grow out. If you don't mind clips, twists, headbands, and creative styling, you probably won't have much trouble, that's how I got through it!
    FIA: 2b-c/f/i, normal porosity/elasticity I think?
