I finally BC!!

So after 9 months of transitioning, I finally decided to BC. I wanted to wait until next month but I said wth, let me get it over with.
The reason why I did it was because I was tired of my ends getting tangled. And it didn't make sense to keep my ends when I was going to cut them off in June.
I feel sooooo free! I can jump in the shower and don't have to worry about my relaxed ends getting knotted up!
Even though I feel weird about my hair length because it's super short, I still love it!! The only thing I'm worried about is heat damage. I think I might have a little heat damage. Idk if it's some relaxed ends left (my mom was cutting for the longest trying to remove it but trying to save me some length) or it's because I JUST BC but I have some straight ends. Hopefully it's still some relaxed ends because throughout my transition I didn't use that much heat.
Now I can focus on growing my hair out to APL. I'm going to box braid my hair next week and take them out in June just so I can get a head start on my growing out process.
But I'm just super happy that I finally BC. And for those who are contemplating on BC, just do it!
It's has to go at some point, so why not doing an get it over with!
Here some pix of what my hair looks like.
(my hair straight)
(I here we go! Shrinkage is NO JOKE!)

(see the straight ends? I hope it's nothing serious)

6 months post relaxer. I will be 7 months post September 17 !! :occasion9:
So with the crazy shrinkage we get, its sometimes hard to tell exactly whether its heat damage, permed ends or simply a looser curl pattern at first. However I do my hair every week and the very next week I went back and cleaned up any areas I thought were left over from the previous week and my hair just got curlier and curlier as the weeks went on. So if you can have a little patience and just wait a bit and see how your hair responds to a deep conditioning session or two, you should be able to tell whether its just a looser curl pattern, damaged ends or left over perm in time.

No problem! Hopefully its NOT heat damage and its just a matter of a looser curl pattern/something time and some deep conditioning can take care of HOWEVER its not how many times you use heat that can cause heat damage. Just one use of extreme heat under the wrong conditions (no heat protectant or w/a heat protectant but too high of a temp) can still cause some heat damage just as FYI.
Again hopefully that's not the case but only time will tell. Give it a few weeks and try some deep conditioning or even a protein treatment to see how your hair responds before you settle on the fact that it is indeed heat damage.

I know they say that scab hair isn't real but it just popped up in my head that it might be it! I'm just going to treat my hair cuz it really need that right now.
