Need some help with eye makeup...

Ok, here's the DL:
I was born without nerve innervation to my eyelids, causing severe "lazy eye" to the point where in 1st grade we decided I'd get surgery to help "lift" my eyelids. Stupid me pulled out the stitches, so they didn't quite get as "fixed" as I'd hope.

Anyhow, I don't really have a lid, so to speak. I open and close my eyes by raising and lowering my eyebrows more than just my lids, and my eyes don't close fully when I sleep (I had to train my muscles to "push" down). So, eye makeup is a PAIN in the you-know-what. For awhile I've just been using eyeliner and mascara, but I have all this shadow that I'd loooove to use, but it just looks funky on me.

Help a sister out! Any shadow tips?

I've had someone ask if I had any Asian blood in me, so I guess my eyes have an "Asian" appearance.

You look like you have a monolid almost. I would check out the YT channel of jinahchae. In the search function type in eyeshadow for Asian eyes and her bid will pop up. She does a great demo of the different types of Asian eyes and how to optimize your eye shape. I have Asian influence on my moms side, so everyone has a monolid but me-- but I have very little lid. The video helped a lot!

    Aw thanks Naturalista :)
I guess at some point I had normal eyelids because (gross I know) when I was little my classmates and I would flip our eyelids inside out xD. Oh myyyyy....

I wish I actually HAD some Asian in me, since they age so beautifully. One of my cousins has some Chinese blood in her and every time I see her she just looks younger and younger... She's so gorgeous!
