Going to Cristin at Takamichi for VERY short cut

I posted in the general section that my hair is a total mess because of damage and I've decided to cut it all off. I'm 3a or 3b but I'm going to get the equivalent of a TWA. I often wish I had 4a hair so I could be sure that a TWA would work on me - but I often wish for any type hair but mine. Sigh....

Oh well, it can always grow back. Cristin gets great reviews. Anyone seen her recently? Encouragement welcome! :flower:

So, is this a curly pixie?

My theory is, if you have nice ears and a good neck, try it at least once.

(I would have, but I have Dumbo ears. Worse than Ginnifer Goodwin.)

My ears stick out so badly I've considered getting them pinned surgically but meh - so the hair will have to cover at least the top of the ears.
On the other hand, I have a great neck (Greatneck - in case you aren't familiar is a place in NYC).
My Burmese boyfriend said that in Burma (now Myanmar) stick-out ears are considered a sign of high intelligence. Burma has great rubies also, but more snakes than any other place on earth. I know you couldn't have lived another day without all this important guano.

    post pics after your cut!!

i've been thinking for about a year now of going shorter, not a pixie, but pretty short, so i can use less product, not spend so much $$$. the hairs around my face are sooo dry thought it might help. but then last summer i discovered cj afg, my mid-high dews HG, so was happy. still it's hit or miss in the lower dews...... the thing that keeps me from cutting is i know the growing in is awful, and i have pretty much 3a hair (a few 3bs) so it will be straighter......

if your hair is damaged cutting is the way to go. it is exciting when you decided to do it!

I like snakes, and rubies are my birthstone. As for intelligence (in my case), it's debatable.

I say, go for it! (But think it through very hard first so you don't have regrets, just in case.)

Very wise NinjaDog. I'm getting cold feet. I'm still going to have it cut but maybe not quite so short. I'll see how brave I feel tomorrow.

Meanwhile, rubies are my birthstone also, and I once had a boa constrictor wrapped around me but that had more to do with liking boys (long story).

Ninja - you are such a tonic. I swear, you always make me grin.:laughing6:

Yes - I did it! I wrote about it under the salon section, but here's the bottom line. Wow! My hair is short. It's very exciting. It shows off my eyes and my bone structure which is a little scary. I think I have pretty features (that's a plus) but kind of a long face and angular bones (kind of a negative) - so it's a shock. When I look in the mirror, I feel kind of nekkid. Eeek! There's no hair to hide behind.

On the plus side it's youthtful (yea!) fresh, modern and right up to the minute which is exactly what I wanted. And now, I am totally committing myself to wearing my hair curly.

I loved Cristin - she is funny and quirky and calm and relaxing all at the same time.

Bottom line - I think I feel like people feel when they get a TWA. It's like EEEkkk! and Yeaaaa!!!! all at the same time.

And I feel kind of defiant - if the world doesn't like it - too bad. If men only like long straight hair - phooey on them. This is me, long face, high cheekbones, big eyes and curly twisty hair. So there.:blob6:

Tomorrow. :flower: Today I am not wearing makeup, I have second day hair which I'm not bothering with except to pull on it because I'm on fighting with my health insurance company (may they rot in hell). The words going postal describes what I would like to do to them.

But I'm delighted to be asked to provide a picture. That cheers me up!

yes, i'd love to see a picture. i am seriously considering going short, not a pixie, but short, kind of a long pixie.

My phone camera keeps staying "Start error" so I can't do a picture.

That's the truth, but also, it's taking me a while to adjust to this very short hair. I think it will be great in about 2-3 months .... it's VERY short and I need to get used to it. It looks a little severe, but at least it is very modern looking and not frumpy at all. I'm still very glad I did it.

Much thanks to everyone who supported me. :love3:
