My hair soaking wet, no product, no curl definition ever attempted, not even combed. I have no clue what my hair type is. I've been growing it out since January so this'll be the 2nd month. I'm 100% black if it makes a difference. Lol, I know there's about 200 "WHATS MY HAIR TYPE??? :[" threads so I apologize. But please enlighten me. :?

your hair is still pretty short so you might have to wait a bit longer to see your "type"

It's hard to tell because it's short.

But based on that picture it looks intermediate between 4a and 3c.

Truth be told, it's not all that helpful to know your specific type (4a vs. 4b for example). From what I see, you're likely in the 4 category which means you should probably aim for products like the ones listed on the the "Find Your Hair Type" page here on Naturally Curly Hair Type 4 on NaturallyCurly.com. The products and techniques you use will also depend on what look you're trying to achieve. Looking good so far man!

To understand the best hair care for your particular hair (I'm talking about hair care, not styling), you actually should take time to determine your hair properties:
    • texture: fine, medium, or coarse
    • porosity: low, normal, or high
    • elasticity: low or normal
    • density: thin, medium, or thick
Some product ingredients and routines will care for some hair and its given properties much better than others, and some will wreak havoc.

If you haven't already, you should check out the curly hair education section of Live Curly Live Free - Home. It's got a clear, concise discussion of all of this and why it's essential to know for proper hair care.
