Coconut Milk...

...is my new favorite thing in the world!

I mixed a can of coconut milk with about 2-3 tablespoons of coconut oil and let it sit for a couple of minutes while I detangled my hair in the shower. When my hair was about 90% dry, I applied the mixture and I could immediately feel my curls clumping, loosening up a little and detangling. I also rubbed some in my scalp. I wrapped a plastic bag on my head and let it sit for about an hour or so and then rinsed it out completely, then low-poo'd it. There was some mixture left over in the bowl, so I added a bit of my conditioner (I use HE) to it and put it in my hair for a couple of minutes while I ran my fingers through my hair. I rinsed it out and my hair was SHINY and felt so much stronger than it was before I did this. Combing it was a BREEZE and I'm just so happy with the results, thought I'd share it with the world lol!

I would do this every other day if I could, but I read that coconut milk has proteins, so I don't want to go overboard with the protein treatments.

This looks interesting :) might have to pick up some coconut milk at the store!
Finally have a routine that works :toothy5:

Low Poo - 2chic Avocado & Olive Oil Ultra-Moist Shampoo
    Co-Wash - V05 Passion Fruit Smoothie Conditioner
RO - Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie, Cure Care, GVPCB
    LI - KCNT
Stylers - GF Pure Clean Gel, BTZ Noodle Head, LA Looks Sports Gel, Eco Styler Krystal, KCCC (I am a product junkie ;-) )

Does it loosen up the curl? Because I want to make my hair curl more not looser.

I've been looking for something to help my curls clump together in the back of my head. Have you noticed a difference in the frizz? (if you had any)

You would need to add a preservative to make it shelf stable

NO. Honey is not a preservative. I don't care who says it is on you tube or some blog.

Just make stuff like this in small batches that can be used up in one go, or put the rest in the fridge and use it within a few days.

Using a preservative that can allow products to be safe and stable takes a lot of research and needs proper equipment.
